Shirley Ann Plummer, 87, of Sharpsburg Md., formerly of Newry and Altoona, peacefully passed away Thursday.
Shirley married Jack Anslinger in 1952, and together they had four daughters.
In 1976 she became the loving and devoted wife of Dave Plummer. They share 39 years of marriage until his passing in 2015.
Surviving are Linda Azzarello and her husband, Roger; Sharon Morris; and Jackie Myers and her husband, Rich.
She was also preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Linette Beck.
Shirley was blessed with four grandchildren: Donnie, Bobby, Kristy, and was especially close to her beloved granddaughter, Jamie Myers Harshaw. She had eight great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with Anna, Ryder and Hunter during her years living in Sharpsburg Md.
When she married Dave, she also gained six stepchildren, including beloved Mike Plummer and his wife, Tina; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Plummer side.
Shirley was a professional dog groomer. She owned and operated her own business, Shirley's Fluff and Puff in Altoona. She was a loving, talented groomer, who had a special affinity for poodles and was beloved by all her customers, both dogs and their owners. She was a passionate animal lover and always had a home full of dogs, cats, birds and other various pets. She especially enjoyed visits from Jackie's dog, a boxer named Maddie.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Shirley's life from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
