Obituary

Shirley Arlene (McKendree) Roddey, 64, of Altoona, joined the Lord in her pain free eternity on Friday, at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Paul and Mildred (Benton) McKendree. On June 21, 1996, she was united in marriage to Clair E. Roddey in Altoona.

In addition to her husband, surviving are her children: Shawn McKendree and Jody Himes; grandchildren: Gavin Himes, Brenna and Wyatt McKendree and Taylor Graham; siblings: Maryann McCellan, Helen Vinvent, Joanne Alley, Ralph McKendree and Cleonice McKendree.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Dorothy Col­yer, Michael McKendree and Bonnie Berardi.

Shirley was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She worked at Altoona Hospital and Bon Secours Hospital.

She attended the Providence Presbyterian Church in Altoona.

Shirley enjoyed gardening and took pride in keeping her house spotless. She loved all the time she got to spend with her grandsons and granddaughter.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
