Obituary for Stephan Bernhard Fix
Stephan Bernhard Fix, 57, Altoona, left for his final trip to be with the Lord on Sunday. He was the son of Heide L. (Gemba) Fix and the late Donald L. Fix Jr.
On Oct. 21, 2000, he married Brenda Keller, who survives.
Along with his mother and his wife, Stephan is survived by his son, Alexandar Volker Fix; two sisters, Esther Schuetrum (Robert) of Oklahoma and Pamela Long (Jerry) of Tyrone; and a brother, Donald L. Fix III (Jackie) of Altoona.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald L. Fix Sr. and Esther (Mingle) Fix; and his maternal grandmother, Katherina Gemba.
Stephan loved God, family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, biking, hiking and gathering with family and friends. Stephan had an amazing gift of cultivating and nurturing relationships both personal and professional. He touched so many lives with kindness and generosity.
Stephan worked for 36 years with The Hite Co. of Altoona as a National Key Account Manager. He oversaw and facilitated all Hite business for their key account, Sheetz. He loved the relationships with his Hite friends as well as his customers and vendors.
Stephan will be dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
Family and friends will be received for a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 704 Patrick Lane, Newry. Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
The family has asked that masks be worn while attending services for Stephan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Stephan’s name may be made to The Sheetz Family Christmas, 5700 Sixth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
