Obituary for Theodore J. "Ted" Martin
Theodore “Ted” Joseph Martin, 79, of Mt. Juliet, TN, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Murfreesboro, TN.
Born March 5, 1943, in Altoona; son of the late Mick Martin and Mary (Kurty) Martin. On September 23, 1967, in Williamsburg, he married Sandra Vaughn Martin who survives at home.
Ted proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-66, earning his honorable discharge. He went on to work as a carmen/painter for the Railroad, retiring after many years of service.
Some of his hobbies included: going to concerts, CMA Fests and going for walks. He loved music and adored his dog, Lexi. Ted was a kind-hearted man who cherished the time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters; Michelle Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and Kristin Martin of Smyrna, TN; one brother, Gregory Martin (Carolyn) of Indiana, PA.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Martin in 2000.
The graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Alto Reste Park, 109 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA. Full military honors will follow.
