Theodore (Red) J. Steidle, 89, Richmond, VA, formerly of Altoona, passed away
May 24, 2022.
He was born October 21, 1932, in Altoona, son of the late John and Rose
(Schiessle) Steidle.
He was preceded in death by his one true love, Diane, and by a brother, Henry.
Surviving are his three daughters: Anna Coleman (Matthew), Cheryl Yingling (John) and Heather Nemetz (Pete); two grandchildren: Holly Buchanan (Scott) and Andrew Yingling; a great-grandson: Liam Buchanan; a sister: Anna Musselman; brothers-in-law: Buck Howard (Bobbi), Paul Howard (Diane) and Jeff
Howard; sisters-in-law: Karen Powley (Chuck) and Sandy Howard; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ted served in the US Army with an honorable discharge in 1952. He retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. in Altoona and relocated to Richmond, VA where he worked at Robious/MAC until 2017. He enjoyed listening to classic country music, watching documentaries, and spending time with family and friends, including his
buddy, Mr. D. He shared a special relationship with Mr. Liam and looked forward to their time together listening to Froggy 98, talking tools, dabbing, and eating greenies. Ted had a larger-than-life personality, was loved by many, and always had a story to share, a joke to tell, or a question to ask.
Friends will be received Monday, June 6, 2022, at The Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by military honors.
Interment will be private.

your local food bank.
