Thomas J. Fries Jr., 61, Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Shirley (Carothurs) Fries and the late Thomas J. Fries Sr. In October 1999, he married Hazel Raquepau.
In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are three daughters: Casi Fries of Altoona, Denise Hileman of Altoona and Jamie Guzzo of Riegelsville; four stepsons: Paul J. and Eric Cotter, both in Wisconsin, Brian Cotter in Ohio and Travis Cotter of Altoona; and a brother, Ronald Fries and wife, Johnna.
Thomas was a 1976 graduate of Central High School. He worked at Roaring Spring Blank Book Co. for 30 years and also worked at Shriver's Greenhouse and Florist for seven years.
He enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cottage in Locust Beach. He also enjoyed chasing Smallmouth Bass with his best friend and wife, Hazel.
At Thomas' request, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.
