Virginia Louis Ilsley, 76, of East 5th Avenue, Altoona; passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at home. She was born on July 25, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter of the late William and Ida Mae (Deal) Herman. On August 10, 1968 she was united in marriage to the late Arthur L. Ilsley; he preceded her in death on April 7, 2004. She is survived by daughter Dawn I. Smith; son-in-law Kevin Ilsley; siblings Ann Milalic and Bill Herman; grandchildren Aerial Rae Smith married to Noah Smith. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings Faye Crouse and Martin Herman. Virginia spent most of her working years as a telephone operator. She enjoyed art and scrap-booking and was of the Baptist Faith. At the request of the family all services will be held privately.
