Obituary for Vivian Joyce Weaver
Vivian Joyce Weaver, 95, of Hollidaysburg went to be with the lord on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Presbyterian Village of Hollidaysburg.
Born on April 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Marion (Robison) Douglass. On December 23, 1947, she married James Paul “Scrappy” Weaver, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2010.
Joyce was an avid golfer and member of the Iron Masters Country Club. She also enjoyed attending Penn State Football games with her husband, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
She was a 1946 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School.
Joyce is survived by her son Douglass Weaver (Janelle) and one grandson Dr. Adam Weaver (Rebecca).
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson Zachary Weaver.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Alto Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 28th Street Church of the Brethren, 2800 Union Ave, Altoona, PA 16602.
