William R. 'Bill' Stonebraker

William R. "Bill" Stonebraker, 81, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Friday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Lester and Sidney (Mickel) Stonebraker. On April 10, 1959, he married Barbara E. Brubaker in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Lauri Trexler (Terry); a son, Willam J. Stonebraker (Marie); 10 grandchildren: Tommy (Sara), Collin, Ben, Daniel, Isaac, Kara, Alyssa, Peter, Will and Hanna; a great-grandson, Toby; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester.
He was a 1956 graduate of Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959. He received his associate degree from Penn State University and was the senior vice president of sales, marketing and logistics for Federal White Cement Ltd. He attended the First Baptist Church of Altoona and was a member of the Sinking Valley Country Club.
Bill enjoyed golf, watching football and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Pastor Tyler Pepper officiant. Entombment will take place in Alto-Reste Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Altoona, 1209 17th St., Altoona, PA 16601, or to Great Commission School, 1100 Sixth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
