William ‘Bill’ W. Stouffer
May 14, 1947 - Jan. 27, 2022
William “Bill” W. Stouffer, 74, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in knowing that “GOD promised that HE will be with us always” supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William C. Stouffer and Frances H. (Caster) Stouffer. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Alice A. (Fyock) on June 1, 1968.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; daughter, Jennifer J. Daniels (Bryan); son, John W. Stouffer (Madeline); three grandchildren: Aundria Stouffer, Anthony Stouffer and step-granddaughter Lynette Tibbott.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald M. Stouffer.
Bill was a kind and giving husband, father, pappy and friend. He would often say he just wanted to help others.
After retiring from the Pennsylvania State Police with 25 years, he went on to work for Omegasonics, located in Simi Valley, Calif., as a Restoration Sales Specialist before retiring in 2015. Bill was also a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He attended First Church of the Brethren, F.O.P. Lodge 57, and the Retired State Police Assoc. of PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at The Good Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, with Pastor William Pepper officiating, followed by Military Honors. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
