Andrew Price ‘Andy’ Good
Aug. 26, 1979 - Aug. 7, 2017
Andrew Price “Andy” Good, 37, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of Carleton “Chip” and Shelley J. (Shaw) Good.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Doris A. Good; his mother; a brother, Adam B. Good; his grandmother, Wanda M. Good; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his dog, Zeus; and his cat, Mr. Grey.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Janet and Oliver B. Shaw and H. Paul Good.
Andy was a 1997 graduate of Altoona Area High School. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and mechanical engineering from Penn State University, where he received a Design/Build Institute of America Award.
He was project manager at M.C. Dean, overseeing the Pentagon Memorial Project commemorating the Sept. 11th terrorist attack. He was a former manager and board of director at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Andy enjoyed baseball and football, especially Penn State football, as well as hunting, fishing and shooting sports.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, Pastor Janet Sell officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
