Martha ‘Louise’ Gray

Martha “Louise” Gray, 92, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday at Maybrook Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John Vipond and Catherin (Austin) Vipond.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Gray; a son, Tom Gray and wife, Sue; three grandchildren: Big Chris, Little Chris and Bradley; three great-grandchildren: Colton, Tonie Balonie and Jude; a sister, Shirley Settle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert, William and Philip Vipond.
Louise worked at the Juniata Shops and Warnaco, and she helped assemble trains during WWII.
She loved spending time with her family, as well as gardening and bird-watching.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Pastor Jerry Sneath officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
