Obituary for P. Diane Livengood
April 8, 1931 - July 20, 2017
P. Diane Livengood, 86, a resident of Donahoe Manor, Bedford, formerly of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday at UPMC Bedford.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George E. and Lillian E. (Evans) Dollar. She married Oren King Livengood, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters: Lynda Hoover and husband, Ed, of Bedford, and Carol Mayhue and husband, Rodger, of Altoona; a son, Steven Livengood and wife, Phyllis, of Elizabethtown; and five grandchildren: Bryan and wife, Rebecca, Julie Hoover, Kevin and Scott Livengood and Brianna Mayhue.
Diane was a graduate of Altoona High School, and she graduated from Temple University with a degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse supervisor at Valley View Nursing Home.
She was a past member of Altoona Bible Church, and she enjoyed needlework, sewing and jigsaw puzzles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be held at 10;30 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Liberty Bible Church or Altoona Bible Church.
