Lois LaRue (McKee) Plowman
Nov. 23, 1938 – Jan. 30, 2018
Lois LaRue(McKee) Plowman, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie (Hale)McKee. She married Ronald E. Plowman Sr. on Feb. 14, 1959.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters: Denise (Robert) Weyant, Donna (Craig) Houck and Kelly (Nelson) Boyles; three sons: Ronald Plowman Jr., Gary Plowman Sr. and Troy Plowman; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and three sisters: Sharon Divin, Beverly Briggs and Carol Igou.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Craig Houck Jr. and Bradley Houck; five sisters: Shirley Morrison, Alma Loop, Bernadine Houck, Bessie McCoy and Helen Settlemyer; and two brothers: Gene and Richard McKee.
Lois attended school in the Hollidaysburg School District, and she enjoyed gardening, singing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
