Joseph W. Reasy Jr.
Aug. 22, 1946 – Feb. 1, 2018
Joseph W. Reasy Jr., 71, Dysart, died Thursday at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a severe stroke.
He was born in Altoona, son of Joseph W. Reasy Sr. and the late Janet (Loose) Reasy.
Surviving are his father of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Cathy Neal of Altoona; a nephew, Nicholas Neal of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a loving companion, Susan Broadwater of Tyrone.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was a 1964 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a graduate of the Penn State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Penn State Altoona as the director of development.
Joe loved being outdoors. He had a special relationship with his dad and enjoyed spending time with him.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or viewing. A memorial service is being planned and it will be announced in a later edition of the Altoona Mirror.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
