Brook L. Gamber

Aug. 14, 1960 – Jan. 27, 2021

Brook L. Gamber, 60, of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday following a courageous battle with COVID-19. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Lee E. and Mary L. (Houser) Gamber.

He married Karen Falger on October 10, 1981, at Asbury Church, Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughter, Cricket; son, Kirsten and his fiancé, Crissy Tickerhoof, and their son Kason. Brook is also survived by his father in law, Joseph Falger; and several nieces and nephews.

Brook loved to educate himself on various subjects to expand his knowledge; he loved to read and study the Bible and also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Kason.

Brook’s greatest passion was sharing his faith. He was pastor of Clappertown Christian Missionary Alliance Church and also worked for Joe Krentzman & Son Inc., Hollidaysburg.

Brook was a 1978 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries with a minor in Christian Counseling from Toccoa Falls College, Georgia.

He served in the United States Army from 1981-87 where he served in the White House Communications Agency.

All services will be privately held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be made in Alto Reste Park.

Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clappertown Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 3239 Piney Creek Rd., Williamsburg, PA 16693.

Brook was a good friend indeed, exactly when I needed a good friend. I will always be grateful for the kindness Brook and Karen extended, and will always remember him with love.

To Brook’s Family..... I was truly saddened to see that Brook had passed away. I am a local Altoona florist that purchased flowers from Miller’s when Brook worked there many years ago. I will always remember his kindness and gentle spirit. I am so sorry for your loss....he was so young. Blessings to all. Rest In Peace, Brook. Ron and Marcy DeAntonio...The Growing Thing

Love Renee.
