Obituary

Regina Doris Stahl, 86 of Mount Joy formerly of Altoona, passed away on Monday March 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in Lancaster General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on April 9, 1932 in Altoona daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline (Raeder) Haigh. Regina married William C. Stahl on November 14, 1958 in Cumberland Maryland and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2002.

Surviving are 4 daughters- Mary Reed, Deborah Shade (John), Tina Dively (Kip), and Terri Harker (John); 2 sons- William (Darlene) Stahl, and Thomas (Debby) Stahl; 11 grandchildren- Billy (Dawn) Stahl, Tommy (Lea) Stahl, Michael (Ashley) Stahl, Barbara (Allen) Salyards, Billy Reed, Samantha Reed, Shannon (Kim) Shade, Katelyn Harker, Emily Harker, Johnny Harker, and Chris Gottberg; 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Regina was preceded in death by a sister- Catherine Shaner, a brother- Robert Haigh, and by a grandson- John Shade.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altoona and a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School. Regina was employed at the first Sheetz store in Altoona and moved on to work at Bon Secours Hospital for many years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. No one ever left “Gram’s” house hungry. She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all and always looked forward to family gatherings. Her greatest love was the children in her life, no matter the relation; she was everybody’s “Gram”.

Friends will be received from 6-8p.m. on Friday March 29, 2019 and on Saturday March 30, 2019 from 10a.m. until the 12p.m. Funeral Service at The Good Funeral Home Inc. with Father Allen P. Zeth officiant. Interment will take place in Alto Reste Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to the Benevolent Care Fund at Moravian Manor 300 West Lemon Street Lititz, Pa. 17543 or to St. Patrick Catholic Church Attn: St. Patrick’s Guild 704 Patrick Lane Newry , PA. 16665
